More about this style...

This mindfulness style lets you attune to your physical sensations and movements.

You may find it helpful to incorporate practices that involve movement and focus on the body, such as yoga, tai chi, or mindful walking.

These practices can help you cultivate a sense of groundedness and presence.

You may also find that practices like breathwork, body scans, or progressive muscle relaxation help you release stress or tension.

If you want to try meditation,

guided walking meditations might be the best way for you to ease into the practice.

Physical practices

combining movement with focus

Some examples include yoga, tai chi, paddle boarding, hiking or surfing. Any practice that requires concentration, balance and/or focused breathing combined with body awareness.

Breathwork

ground yourself through breath

There are many breathwork techniques, and the benefits of practising them are both physical and mental.
Wim Hof has a system that combines breathwork and cold/hot exposure.
It is worth giving it a try.

Walking meditation

because meditation is not only about sitting still

Walking meditations are great both for maintaining mindfulness as you move and also as training wheels to transition to sitting or lying meditations.
Try this one to begin with.

Nice to meet you!

You might be wondering who I am and why I care about mindfulness.

Well, my name is Ana. I have always loved exploring ways to improve my mental well-being and how to make the most of our precious time on this earth.

As my brain tends to go 1,000 miles per second, I needed to find ways to ground myself and stay present. That led me to try different mindfulness practices and eventually develop Your Mindful Year.
