I would like to share with you how I envisioned Your Mindful Year working for you
However, this is your journey, so feel free to adapt it to whatever feels right for you
I'm not a guru, nor do I have everything figured out.
This guide will prompt you to consider important aspects of your life. But only you have the answers and can apply any insights you come up with.
Some questions/themes will feel harder than others
Some of the themed questions might feel slightly heavy as they are designed to take you out of your comfort zone. However, I suggest you approach each of them with curiosity and interest rather than dread. You are just taking a little time to ponder and get a birds-eye view of different facets of your life as a contrast to the narrow focus we usually have.

Choose the best day and time of the week for you to take 10-15 minutes to go through the questions. It might help if you can commit to a set time each week.
STEP 1
Read a card at the start of a week. Then, reflect on the answers as you go through your daily business.
How does this help?
It changes your perception, behaviour and even your body chemistry. Several studies have concluded that just asking yourself a question can do this.
Even if you only read the card at the start of the week, your subconscious mind will be working away at the answers.
STEP 2
Remove a bead from the string.
How does this help?
It creates a powerful visual reminder of time passing to help you focus on the present week.
STEP 3
Fill out the current card at the end of the week. One-word answers suffice.
How does this help?
Gain a healthier perspective by reflecting on different aspects of your past seven days.
AT ANY OF THE STEPS
You can light a candle if you are taking a few minutes to reflect on the question. You can also journal about what is coming up for you.
How does this help?
It facilitates change and anchors your intentions by creating a ritual.
STEP 4
Read the next week's card and get familiar with the themed question.
How do the extra emails and resources help?
The reminder emails prompt your brain to stop and find the answers. It will help your brain to establish the habit of reflection. (see below to register for them)
The extra resources will unlock as you progress through the weeks, giving you extra information and suggestions. It might open your mind to new perspectives.
It allows you to delve deeper into each weekly question saving you the time to research. If there is subject that you are drawn to, the breadcrumbs will lead the way.
Sign up for the weekly reminders
If you feel that you will benefit from a gentle outside accountability, you can opt to receive weekly reminders to help you stay on track.
If you feel uncomfortable exploring a particular question or theme, you might want to focus on the basic weekly questions for that week. You can always come back to it at a later time. I invite you to explore why you find that question uncomfortable.
If you are busy and get sidetracked, continue where you left off. This is not a race, however, consistency will pay off.

To get used to observing your life rather than letting it rush by.
To learn to be grateful regularly for the big things and the little ones.
To remind you of who you truly are and how you want to lead your life. So that you savour every day, and when your time comes, you will feel no regrets.
I have received or printed my cards
I have worked out a time during the week that I can be consistent with.
I'm excited and curious to see how this can improve my life.
No problem, we can email you a PDF of the cards so you can print the first few until your parcel arrives. Contact us at ana@yourlifeanddeathmatters.com
You can go light (10-15 min per week)
At the start of your first week, you will read the first card's questions.
Hopefully, the questions will colour your perspective for the week, and maybe you can give yourself a little headspace whilst queuing at the supermarket to consider the answers. Or you might just let them brew in your subconscious.
Then at the end of the week, you can write short answers on the card.
Take out the next card to familiarise yourself with next week's question.
Or you can go deeper
The weekly emails will also bring you suggestions for books, videos, quotes, meditations etc., to give you more information if you want to explore that month's theme in more depth.
And if you want to follow down the rabbit hole...
Life happens sometimes. Just start where you left off and continue. There is no due date but the more consistent you can be the better the results.
Absolutely not. It doesn't matter if you start on the 1st of January, on your birthday or next Tuesday.
Do you still have questions? Fill out the form below.
I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
